Fur is big again for Fall/Winter 2013 and it makes me a very happy woman because I seriously love fur! Fake or real, it doesn't matter to me - I love it all! I was lucky enough to find a gorgeous mink fur coat a few years back and it is more of a collector's item because I hardly ever get to wear it. But, since it is really in again, I figured I would find some days to wear it. I wanted to put together a look that used a bit of the 60's because I love my boots so much and I will always love a mini skirt! Read below for some style tips on how to wear real or fake fur coats in today's time!
Quick Tips On This Look:
- Wearing fur is definitely for the confident because real or fake coats are definitely extravagant looking. You can dress it down by wearing cuffed jeans and heels though if you don't want to look over-the-top dressy and wear a beanie style hat almost like a Carrie Bradshaw look from Sex and The City. I chose to dress it up a bit with statement necklaces and a floral blouse, skirt and boots. There is something so pretty about wearing browns and creams together, so I wanted to wear this mini corduroy skirt that I have had forever. It's a bit frayed on the bottom naturally, and I love the earthiness of it. I don't have brown sheer tights, so I left them out for this post, but sheer brown tights would look great and add some extra length if you are short.
- Statement jewelry is a must with fur! Earrings or necklaces are the way to go and you want to go all out! Mixing dressy jewelry with casual bottoms such as my frayed corduroy skirt tones down the too dressy look and adds a subtleness of casual.
